Action:

Root is Bister. Aromatic, Tonie, Demulcent. Diuretle, Restorative, Alterative, Nervine Tonic,

Anringent. Carminative, Emollient ofAphrodisiae.

Uses:

The root tüber is smooth and hitter in taste-Powdered tuber is used in treating leucoderma, menorrhagia, venereal diseases and pain in ribs. This improves vigour and vitality. If this is employed as lehyem it can cure urinary trac disorders, leucoderma etc. If it is made in to a powder after cutting it into small pieces and boiling it in milk, it cures pelvic pain, chest congestion, piles, eczema, itching due to venereal diseases etc. It also helps in building up the body and improves sexual activity in men. It cures asthma, jaundice diarrhoea and stomach ache. For ladies it cures leucorrhoea and glect.

நிலப்பனை செடியின் வேர் துவாரமுடையது. இதன் வேர்க் கிழங்கு வழவழப்பாயும் சிறிது கசப்பாயுமிருக்கும். இக்கிழங்கை சூரணித்துச் சாப்பிட வெண்குட்டம், பெரும்பாடு, மேசு ஒழுக்கு, விலாக்குத்து இவைகள் நீங்குவதுடன் தாதுலிருத்தியும், காம இச்சை யும் உண்டாகும். மேலும் உடல் பலம் பெறும்.

இதை சிறுதுண்டுகளாக்கி பாசிவிட்டு அவித்து உலர்த்தி சூரணம் செய்து சாப்பிட இடுப்புவலி, மாரடைப்பு, மூலரோகம், சொறி சிரங்கு மேகவூரல் இலைகள் குணமாகும். மேலும் இச் சூரணத்துடன் சர்க்கரை கலந்த பாலை அருந்த உடல் பலவீனம், ஆண்மைக்குறைவு, காசம், காமாலை, கழிச்சல், வயிற்றுவலி முதலியவைகள் குணமாகும். இச்சூரணத்தை பாலில் கலந்து சர்க்கரை சேர்த்து சாப்பிட பெண்களுக்குண்டாகும் வெள்ளை தோய்களும், உதிர சிக்கலும் குணமாகும்.
