uses:
This transquilians the fishes. The seeds are used to eradicate luse. This is also used in treating epilepas, paralysis and lead ache. For the boils and fecuncles this is used as an external application. The seeds are also used to cure asthma.
இது காகமாரி, பேன் கொட்டை, நச்சுக் கொட்டை என்றும் கூறப்படுகிறது. இது மீன்களை மயங்கச்செய்து கரையில் கொண்டு வந்து சேர்க்கும். இதன் விதைகளினால் பேன்கள் சாகும். காக்கை வலிப்பு, பக்கவாதம், தலை புலி ஆகியவற்றிற்கு குணம் தரும். கட்டி புண்களுக்கு. இதன் விதையை அரைத்துப் பற்றுப் போட குணமாகும். இவ்விதை காச நோயை எதிர்க்கும்.
இதற்கு பூச்சியை அழிக்கும் குணமுண்டு. இதை ஆமணக்கு எண்ணெயுடன் கலந்து சரும நோய்களுக்கும் பச்சைக்காயின் சாற்றை ஊழ்த்தசைச் சிலந்திகளுக்கும், புண்களுக்கும் உபயோகப்படுத்துவர். இவ்விதையைச் சூரணித்து நெய்யோடு கலந்து களிம்பாக இரணங் களுக்குப் போடலாம். விஷத்தன்மையுள்ளதால் வழுவுண்ட ரணங் களில் சம்பந்தப்படாமல் எச்சரிக்கையாய் உபயோகப்படுத்த வேண்டும்.
