Constituents:
The true active principles are Agaric and Fungic or laric acid
Action:
Febrifuge, Vulnerary, Lactifuge, Antidote Antiseptic and Tonic.
Uses:
It grows on rotten wood. This is rich in Proteins. Preventive medicines for cholera, small pox and malaria are made from this. Stomatitis intestinal ulcer, ulcer of the anus are cured by this. It deminishes the lactic secretion.
இது புரதச்சத்து மிக்கது. விஷசுரம், அம்மை, காலரா போன்றவற்றின் கால தடுப்பு மருந்துகளை இதிலிருந்து உற்பத்தி செய்கின்றனர். வாய்ப்புண், குடல்புண் மற்றும் ஆசனபுண் ஆகியவற்றை ஆற்றும். தாய்ப்பாலை வற்றச்செய்யும். இதில் பல வகையுண்டு. புற்றுக்காளான் (எறும்பு புற்றில் வளர்வது), வரிக்காளான், வலைக் காளான், பொரிக்காளான் போன்ற பல இனங்கள் உள்ளன.
