Anthelmintic, Stimulant, Laxative, Diuretic and Stomachic.

Uses:

This is used to cure all the biliary disorders. It is also used to treat venereal diseases, skin ailments, dysen-tery etc. If taken along with pulses as food, it gives strength and acts as laxative. This reduces the body heat and acts as diuretic. This also acts as an antidehyrant. The boils erupted during summer could be cured if this is used as an external application along with turmeric. of the juice of the leaf (50 m. to 100 ml) is consumed every day and might in empty stomacht It checks all types of dysentery, disuria and pyrexia. To get relief from headache. The squeezed leaf could be applied on the forehead.

To cure the liver and spleen disorders, the leaf should be mixed with turmeric and curd, and to be consumed for forty days in the mornings. The taste of the leaves is good and gives relief from burns. To get relief from prickly heat and burning sensation of the head and feet, the stem of this plant should be made into a paste and applied externally. The powdered seeds mixed with tender cocoanut water, will stop diarrhoea and pain in abdomen. This plant also acts as an anthelmintic and laxative.

பருப்பு கீரையினால் பித்த சம்பந்தப்பட்ட நோய்கள் நீங்கும். மேலும் மூத்திர வியாதிகள், ரத்த பித்தம், யேசும், தோல் சம்பந்தப் பட்ட நோய்கள், சீதபேதி இவைகள் குணமாகும். இதை பருப்புடன் உண்ண தேசம் வலுக்கும், மலத்தை இளக்கும், சிறுநீரைப் பெருக்கும் அதிக குட்டைத் தணிக்கும். அன்றியும் வறட்சியை போக்கி உள்ளழற்சியைத் தணிக்கும், குளிர்ச்சி தரும்.

வேனல் கட்டிகள், இரத்த சீழ்கட்டிகள் முதலியன புடைத் தெழும் போது சிறிது மஞ்சளுடன் மேல் பக்கமாகப் பற்றுப் போட சுட்டி உடைந்து சீழ் வெளிவரும்.

இக்கீரையிலைச் சாற்றைப் பிழிந்து 50 முதல் 100 மிலி கிராம் காலை, மாலை இரு வேளையும் வெறும் வயிற்றில் குடிக்க இரத்த பேதி, சீதபேதி, மூத்திரதடை, வெப்பம், நீர்ச்சுருக்கு முதலியனவும் உடல் அனலும் தணியும். இவ்விலையை அரைத்து நெற்றியில் பற்றுப் போட தலைவலி குணமாகும்.

இக்கீரை மஞ்சளுடன் சேர்த்து அரைத்து தயிரில் கலந்து காலையில் மட்டும் 40 நாட்கள் குடித்துவர கல்லீரல், மண்ணீரல் சம்பந்தமான நோய்களும், கல்லீரல் மரத்தல், கல்வீரன் புண். கல்லீரல் பெருத்தல் போன்றவை நீங்கும். இவ்விலையை அரைத்து தீப்புண்களில் தடவ புண் ஆறிவிடும். இக்வேரயின் தண்டை அரைத்துப் பற்றுப் போட வேர்க்குரு, கை கால் எரிச்சல், மூத்திர எரிச்சல் முதலியவை குணமாகும். இக்ைேர விதையை அரைத்து இளநீரில் சுவத்துக் கொடுக்க சீதபேதி, வயிற்றுழைச்சல் நீங்கும்.

மேலும் மூத்திர எரிச்சலைக் கண்டித்து வெள்ளையையும் தணிக்கும். இக்கீரை குடலிலுள்ள புழுக்களையும் நிக்கும். மலமிளக்கியாகவும் பயன்படுகிறது.
