Cathartic, Anthelmintic, Alterative, Carminative and Antispasmodic. Externally Antiseptic and Stimulant.

Uses :

This is a medicinal plant used to treat ulcers. toothache, intestinal ulcers etc., The resin of the tree reduces the fevers. This is also used to treat obesity, enlarge-ment of the spleen etc. This acts as an anthelmintic.

It yields a yellow gum resin from buds and from cracks of the bark. Gum resin is antispasmodic, insecticide, by dissolving it in spirit it is used as an external application for cleaning foul and callous ulcers and for keeping off flies from sores. It is mostly employed internally in hysteria, flaut-lent and dyspepsia nervous disorders. It is a successful anthel-mintic in cases of round worms.
