Parts used:

Root, root-bark, Leaves, Fruit, milky-juice and galls.

Constituent:

Wood possesses tannin and wax. The ash containing silica and phosphoric acid.

Action:

Bark, leaves and unripe fruit are used in Dysentry. The tonic of the fruit is a laxative and used in the treatment of Piles, Paralysis, and cough also it improves blood (cordial).

Uses:

The latex is used in the treatment of dysentry, dysmenorrhea leucorrhea and diabetese, Latex with butter or sugar is given for the above said complaints. The fruit extract increases the haemoglobin content in the blood. The bark extract taken with cow’s milkcurd acts as remedy for dysmenorrhea. The dossage recommanded is 100 ml twice daily.

துவர்ப்புடைய அத்திப் பிஞ்சை சமைத்துண்ண மூலவாயு, மூலக்கிராணி, இரத்தமூலம், வயிற்றுக்கடுப்பு ஆகியவைகளைப் போக்கும். அத்திப்பிஞ்சு, கோவைப்பிஞ்சு, மாமரத்தின் பட்டை, சிறு செருப்படை ஆகியவற்றை சம அளவு வாழைப்பழச்சாற்றால் அரைத்துக் கொடுக்க வயிற்றுக் கடுப்பு போகும்.

அகத்திக்காயை சமைத்து சாப்பிட்டால் பிரமேகம், வாத தோய், சூலை, சரீரவெப்பு, புண், ஆகியவை தணியும். மேலும் சுலபமாக மலங்கழியும்.

பழத்தை மணப்பாகு செய்து உட்கொள்ள, மலச்சிக்கல், நாவரட்சி, உடல் வெதும்பல் ஆகியவை நீங்குவதுடன் இரத்தம் விருத்தியாகும். இம்மரத்தின் பாலை வெண்ணெய் அல்லது சீனியுடன் கொடுக்க இரத்தபேதி,பெரும்பாடு, வெள்ளைபடுதல் ஆகியவை தணியும். மேலும் நீரிழிவு, சூலை, ரத்தமூத்திர இரீச்சரம் ஆகியவைகளைப் போக்கும். அத்திப்பட்டையை பசுவின் மோர் விட்டு இடித்துப் பிழிந்த ரசத்தில் தினம் இரண்டு முறை. 100 மில்லி அளவு வீதம் சாப்பிட்டு வர பெரும்பாடு நிற்கும்.
