Action:

Seeds posses Defusible, Stimulant. Stomatic-Carminative, Tonic, Aromatic, Pungent. Anti. spasmodic and Antispetic properties.

Uses:

The mixer of the juice of this with white crumbs is used for swollen eyes and also in swelling of breasts. This is very effective in stomach upset and also to reduce gas formation The docoction of the herb root or seed is diuretic. Herb taken raw is also a diuretic and is effective against poisonous bite. The seeds of this can be used as an effective anti-poisonous agent. This is a good apetizer. The juice of this, if taken regularly, is used in the treatment of uicer. If taken along with food this gives relief from all stomach ailments. Its flower mixed with baking soda gives relief from flatulance, accidity and dyspepsia.

ஓமம் ஒரு முக்கிய மருந்துப் பொருளாகும். வாசனைப் பொருளாகவும் பயன்படுத்தப்படுகிறது. இது பசியைத் தூண்டும். வயிற்றுக் கோளாறுகளை நீக்கும். மேலும் குழந்தைகளுக்கு எற்படும் வயிற்றுக் கோளாறுகளுக்கு சிறந்த மருந்தாகப் பயன்படுகிறது. சமஅளவு ஓமம், மிளகு, வெள்ளம் எடுத்து அரைத்து வைத்துக் கொண்டு கொட்டைப்பாக்கு அளவு தினம் காலை, மாலை ஆகிய இருவேளை உண்டால் வயிற்றுக்கடுப்பு நீங்கும்

ஓமம் ஒரு பங்கிற்கு கால்பங்கு கறியுப்பினைச் சேர்த்து நன்றாக முறைப்படி உட்கொண்டுவரின் வயிற்றுநோய் நீங்கும். ஓமத்தை குடிநீராகச் செய்து பருகி வந்தாலும் குன்ம நோய் தீரும்.

ஓமத்தை உணவில் சேர்த்துக் கொள்வதால் அசீரணம், வயிற்றுப்பிசம், அதிசாரம், சீதபேதி, தந்தரோகம் போகும்.

ஓமத்திலிருந்து ஓமத்தைலம் எடுக்கப்படுகிறது. இத்துடன் இதன் பூவையும் சேர்த்து சிறிது சோடாஉப்புடன் உட்கொள்ள வயிற்றுப் பொருமல், அமிலத் தன்மை, வயிற்று அழிச்சல் உடனே நீங்கும்.

ஓமத்தை அரைத்து பற்றுப்போட வயிற்றுவலி நீங்கும்.
