Uses:
Leaves are edible. If it is consumed regularly it regulates blood pressure and cures dysentery and diarrhoea with blood and mucous. Leaf is refrigerent which is bitter in taste. Mixture of leaf and tamarind is used to treat bloody stools. The fruit is also proved medicinal.
இலைகளை உணவாகப் பயன்படுத்துகின்றனர். இதை உட்கொள்ள ரத்தக் கொதிப்பு, அதிசாரம், சீதரத்தம் முதலியவை குணப்படும். காரை இலை துவர்ப்பும், இனிப்புச் சுவையும், குளிர்ச்சித் தன்மையும் கொண்டது. இரத்தக்கடுப்பு நீங்க காரை இலையுடன் சேர்த்து கடைந்துண்ண வேண்டும். இதன் பழமும் மருத்துவ குணமுடையது.
