Parts used:

Gum, resin and oil.

Constituents:

Oil is extracted from the gum or resin.

Action:

Resin is of a bitter balsamic odour, when burnt used as Astringent, Refrigerent. Diuretic, Aromatic, Demulcent, Aperient, Alterative, Emmenagogue and Ecbolic. Oil called Olibene’ is Stimulant.

Uses:

This is yellowish and glittering. The smoke of this is aromatic. The taste is bitter, but it increases sweating and gives energy. This also cures rheumatism and nervous disorders.

பரங்கி சாம்பிராணியே பால் சர்ம்பிராணி என்று கூறப்படு கிறது. இது ஓர் மரத்தின் பால். இது பளபளப்பாயும் மஞ்சளாகவும் இருக்கும். இதன் புகை மிக்க வாசனை தரும். துவர்ப்புடைய இது வியர்வையையும் உற்சாகத்தையுமுண்டாக்கும். இது வாத நோய், நரம்பு பற்றிய நோய்கள் போன்றவற்றிற்கு குணம் தரும்
