Aromatic. Oll is Stimulant, Carminative, Antispasmodic and Diaphoretic.

Uses:

This grass is said to possess the properties of Andropogon hardus. The oil of this grass if taken along with rice gruel it cures stomach ache, flatulence and vomiting. To treat regidity of joints, rheumatism and neuritis this oil is taken internally and used as externally along with coconut

The oil is used in the preparations of soap phenyle as a flaouring agent.

சுக்குநாறிப்புல்லின் குணங்கள் மாந்தப்புல்லின் குணங்களுடன் ஒத்திருக்கும்.இதன் எண்ணெயைக் கஞ்சியோடு கலந்து அருந்த வயிற்றுவலி, வயிற்றுப் பொருமல், வாந்தி, இவைகள் குணமாகும். இப்புல்லின் எண்ணெயை கீல்பிடிப்பு, வாதநோய், குடைச்சல் இவைகளுக்கு உள்ளுக்கு சாப்பிட்டு, இதன் எண்ணெயோடு தேங்காய் எண்ணெயைக் கலந்து தோயுள்ள இடத்தில் தேய்க்கலாம். சோப்பு, பினாயில் தயாரிப்புகளில் இந்த எண்ணெயை வாசனைக்காக பயன்படுத்துவார்கள்.
