Constituents:

It contains an essential volatile oil and two alkaloides viz, Alpha paederine and beta parderine

Action:

Leaves are Astringent, Diuretic, Antirheumatic and Antilithic.

Uses:

This, if taken internally cures cheumatism, stomach ache and other gastric troubles. This gives relief from calculous affections of the urinary system, but the root of this plant discolorises the teeth.

சங்கை பீநாறியை உட்கொள்வதால் வாத நோய்கள், வயிற்று வலி, வாயுவினால் வரும் வயிற்றுக் கோளாறுகள் குணப்படும். கல்லடைப்பு, சதையடைப்பு நீங்கும்.

இதன் வேரானது, பல்லினைக் கருக்கச் செய்யும்.
