Parts used :

Bulbous root or tuber.

Constituents:

Tubers contain a glucoside, albumen and a trace of oil. Ark contains phosphates, pottarsium and lime. chlorides

Action:

Laxative, Nervine, Stimulant. Refrigerent. Tonic, Aprodisiac, and Diuretic.

Uses:

This bulb and the root of salap used commonly in Lehyams. This improves the health. The powdered bulb root made to a gruel reduces the salt contents in urine and gives strength and vitality. Nervous debility could be cured by this bulb. This is commonly used in all healty tonics.

சாலா மிகிர் என்பது ஓர் செடியின் கிழங்காகும். இலேகியங்களில் அதிகமாக பயன்படுகிறது. இது தாது விருத்திக்கும். உடம்பை போஷிப்பதற்கும் பயன்படுகிறது. இக்கிழங்கை பொடித்துக் கஞ்சி செய்து சாப்பிட உடல் வலுப்பதுடன் சிறுநீரில் உள்ள உப்பு சந்து மிகுதியைக் குறைக்கும். நரம்புத் தளர்ச்சி,பல்லினம் நீக்கும். ஆண்மையைப் பெருக்கும், பொதுவாக இதனை தாது விருத்திக்காக செய்யப்படும் எல்லா மருத்துகளிலும் சேர்ப்பார்கள்.
